Article Marketing In 5 Simple Steps Part 4
In our last installment of this series on article marketing step-by-step, we learned the importance of how to write an article that actually gives valuable insight, information or step-by-step instructions concerning the topic your readers are interested in.
In this fourth installment of the series, we’re going to talk about the importance of including a link to your website in every article that you write.
Step 4: Include a Link to Your Website In Every Article That You Write
Okay, so you’ve done a great job in giving valuable information to your target market and in gaining their trust and attention by doing so.
Now, you want to give them a low-pressure/no-pressure way to get more of you if they want to do that.
Use a Link or Resource Box To Tell Them Where To Find You
The best way to do that is to make it very easy for them to find you. Simply including a link to your website in the article, or in a resource box, will do the trick.
You’ve seen this before in major print magazines or industry publications. The author of pretty much any article will have a little “About Me” blurb at the end of the article.
This makes it easy for the reader to know where to go to find the “official” information you may have available for them.
Consider Using Targeted “Landing Pages” In Your Contact Information
Also, if you write on a wide range of subjects or would like to direct the reader of a particular article to information that is highly targeted to them, you can include a webpage link that is a landing page targeted to whatever you wrote about.
Free Reports and Other Goodies Can Motivate Your Readers To Visit Your Website
One really great way to use article writing to build your list is to offer readers a free report, white paper or some other tidbit of information that they might want, and let them know you are making it available to them at a particular link to a landing page on your website.
Telling Them How To Reach You Creates The Payoff For All Your Hard Work
Many people make the mistake of going through all the steps of writing and marketing great articles, only to miss the boat by failing to provide a way for readers who like what the author has to say to get in touch with the author.
Now that you know step 4 in how to market articles, you won’t make that same mistake!
In our final installment in this series, we’ll talk about step 5 in a successful article marketing campaign, which is publishing the article in as many places as you can to try to get it in front of your target audience.
